Be rich in mind and bear good fruit

Among all the promises that God has given to us, these are my favorite ones.

            1. I give you MY peace.
            2. Your faithfullness will be your Joy.

We are given not just wordly peace. But we are given HIS great peace. Also the more we are faithful, the more we are Joyfull. Part of being faithful is not pointing fingers. When people get to carry their cross (Due to natural calamities, accidents etc) we should not point fingers or reason it out with our own imaginations. We cannot make assumptions on other's cross.

Even Jesus carried the cross and died on it. He never wanted to. Matt 26: 39 He prayed to God "My Father, If it is possible, take this cup of suffering from me! Yet not what I want, but what you want."

Let our thoughts be rich and not poor looking for reasons to point fingers. It would be wonderful to stay out of Pointing Fingers. Back when I was little, growing up with sister and with friends in schools, whenever there is a trouble and if there is a question from adults, "Who did this?" I would be the first to say "Not me". This has happenned many a times. Never accepted my own fault. I should have been named "Not me" because I used it a lot growing up.

Even now, when we hear words of wisdom from God, we would think "This would fit perfect to my spouse, friend or a third person. They should listen to this". Pray and listen to the words of God thinking how it will be applicable for you. We should look at the dirt in our own eyes, instead of pointing fingers.

Be rich in mind, be unselfish and bear good fruit. In order to bear good fruit the tree needs good fertilizer. Words of God are our fertilizer. Like said in Luke 13: 8 [Dig around the tree and put in some fertilizer] keep your tree fertilized always (Let your rechargeable battery be charged) and bear good fruit.

Unless a grain of wheat shall fall upon the ground a die, it remains but a single grain with no life. So take this chance to change and produce fruit. Bringing heaven to earth is in our hands. Our trees are grounded in good soil. It is grounded in God.

Fast, Pray and Shine like an Alexandrite

Fasting requires self-control and discipline. It is very hard to deny the natural and physical desires. Alteast for me it is very hard.

When fasting directs our hunger toward God, it is called spiritual fasting. It clears the mind and body of earthly attentions and draws us close to God. So, as we gain spiritual clarity of thought while fasting, it allows us to hear God more clearly. During spiritual fasting, the focus is removed from the physical things of this world and intensely concentrated on God.

Fasting demonstrates a profound need for God's help and guidance through complete dependence upon him. Why not fast & pray before making an important decision or before starting on any new aspect.

When we fast, our stomach will be empty. For us sometimes stomach is our God, and our minds are occupied with earthy things. If we find ways to control that then angels will acquire us and we will shine like an alexandrite.

Alexandrite is the most expensive gemstone in the world. It is a fine stone that displays a distinct and dramatic color change (It’s flexibility) where all colors are bright and attractive. It is radiant always, No one can stop it’s glitter. It will keep giving light to people around.

Like how Peter, John and James saw Jesus transfigured in Luke 9:28 – 36, people around us will see the difference in us. We will be smiling always and will make a big difference. No one and nothing can stop us being radiant. Like trees though straight and tall bends for wind, we will be flexible enough to listen to other's and will carry an attractive smily face always.

Be attractive and shine like an alexandrite.

Don't let fear keep us apart

Today, I heard Him say don't let fear keep us apart.

All He wants from us is - To do things right. Be righteous. Be slow to Anger and be abounded in kindness, like said in Psalm 103: 8. What great words to think about! especially during this season of lent when we grow more and more closer to God! Be slow to Anger and be full of kindness!

We are entangled in life's threads like facebooks, Twitters, emails, constant mobile phones pings, messages, email notifications, corporate cultures, business conversations etc etc.

In the midst of all these, we need to plug ourself into Him. Being inside the matrix of entangled threads is not easy. Even if we are busy in this corporate world when we plug ourselves into Him, He guides us and raises us on Eagle's wings. He promised us that He will guide us. Then why to fear.

Like said in Deuteronomy 26: 7 - 10, the lord brought us from a different country with His strong hand and outstreched arm, with great terrifying power, with signs and wonders.

After bringing us to this country, He gave us this land flowing with milk and honey. So now this is our turn to bring Him first fruits of the products of the soil which Lord God has given us.
